Yeah, not much to talk about this Fall season. At least for someone who has been not the most active person around. Yeah, other stuff occupied me quite a bit, and episode reviews (and even them late) definitely weren’t of the highest class. Deliberately wrong choices during the start of the season (yeah, I’m a completionist) didn’t make the situation better, so I was stuck with shows I didn’t really care about much. Well, got only myself to blame. Anyway, these several holiday days were a relief, both from other stuff and from not watching likable enough anime. I’m sure I’ve missed not a single good show, but so far I think only Zombieland Saga and Bloom into You might be something I think could be interesting. But let’s return to stuff I did watch. And by the way, Attack on Titan ended during this season, but 2 episodes isn’t anything to write about, especially since the general quality remained the same as earlier. But enough of that.

Musings and Reflections – Fall 2018 Week 0
A few days lately have been rather hectic and then I wanted to restart my brain so eventually it go to this point that the first week of the Fall season is already over and I haven’t even written a post about what shows I’ll watch, let alone started watching them. I probably should’ve resisted the temptation to finish all the 7 volumes of Hone ga Kusaru made. A pretty good manga, but still. Well, the season for me seems likely to be rather tiresome, at least in real life. Of course I’ll try to be consistent but oh well, time is limited and when new responsibilities arise, something must be sacrificed. Anyway. Once I started to hunt for the likely shows, initially I thought that there’s nothing good. Then I found some PVs, some staff lists, and it turned out that the season is clogged with shows that do have potential and I’d actually gladly watch them. Only the thing is that there’re also shows that are sequels or continuations and they are plenty. Eventually I found that of the my must-watch shows there’s only one that’s completely new. Well, at least there’s always a possibility to catch up with something that turns out to be good later on, and there are some clear candidates for that. Anyway.

Musings and Reflections – end of Summer 2018
If there was a poll about the length of the summer – the anime season as well as in general – how many people would say that it was kinda short? One of them clearly would be me. Of course, summer holiday is a always something pleasant, and pleasant things never seem to last long enough. I remember a joke about how to explain the relativity of time to basically anyone – “Do you think that 5 mins sitting on a chair and sitting on a stove last as much?”. Dumb jokes aside, I guess I’m more or less satisfied with the shows I watched. None of them were truly stellar, though Hanebado started very strong and the second episode of Attack on Titan was simply magnificent. On the other hand, there were no huge disappointments either. Out of everything I missed, I think about maybe checking a pair of oddballs – Planet With and Revue Starlight. Cells at Work looks like a show that gets repetitive quite soon but it also might get a chance. Everything else doesn’t look that important or relevant to me.
